Working Together Toward a Better Lane County for All
If you’ve attended an event or seen us out in the community lately, you’ve likely heard us talking about how excited we are to be working collectively. From our new strategic vision focused on healthy and successful kids, our new investment model, to our continuing partnerships across Lane County everything we do is intended to foster Collective Impact.
But what exactly is Collective Impact and why are we so excited about it?
Collective Impact is a way of working together toward a shared goal, bringing resources and expertise from across multiple organizations. All agencies, organizations, and people involved share a common understanding of the issues at hand, promising strategies and solutions, and the measurements that will signal forward movement and success. When we work together we can do more, reach more people, and bring about lasting change.
United Way of Lane County already works from a Collective Impact framework. Our new vision and investment model will help us continue to connect across our community to develop and support relationships, programs, and resources to help everyone. We’ve seen just how effective this way of working can be through our engagement with Live Healthy Lane and the Early Learning Alliance. We’d love to have you join us and work together for a better Lane County for all.
