United Way — Live United
A Little Free Library is a take a book, return a book structure and a way to share books in your community. You may take a book, share it with a friend, return it, and of course add your own books to the Little Free Library. Everyone works together to keep a Little Free Library stocked with a great collection of reading materials.
As part of our Education Impact work, United Way along with the woodshop at Willamette High School and Day of Action participants have focused on providing early learners with easy access to books. For families who do not have access to children’s books or traditional library programs a Little Free Library is a great alternative. So far we have distributed 12 Little Free Libraries with children’s books throughout the Bethel neighborhood and rural locations in Lane County and have plans to distribute even more.
