Your Money. You Earned It. Now Claim It!
Are you getting all the tax credits you’re eligible for? United Way of Lane County is dedicated to helping taxpayers with low to moderate incomes receive tax preparation support absolutely FREE. The primary focus is on helping eligible residents receive the Earned Income Tax Credit and Child Tax Credit.
The Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) is a refundable federal income tax credit for low to moderate income working individuals and families. Last year over $6 million came back to Lane County taxpayers through Tax Aide sites. Some of that money may be yours. Will you qualify for EITC this year? Find out here.
In addition to the EITC, some families also can get the Child Tax Credit (CTC), which can be worth up to $1000 per child. The credits can reduce the amount of income taxes workers owe – but even workers who own no taxes can qualify for credits.
