SUCCESS BY 6®

Success By 6® is a community-wide children's initiative convened over 10 years ago by United Way to bring together resources through broad based community-wide partnerships.

In Lane County, the Success By 6® initiative is focused on reducing child abuse and neglect through prevention efforts as a first step towards ensuring that all our children enter school ready to learn. At the time, the child abuse rate in Lane County was the highest of all Oregon counties. 10 years later we are happy to report that Lane County’s child abuse rate is significantly lower placing us in the middle of Oregon counties. We will continue this work until Lane County is the safest, healthiest place in Oregon for children.

To Report Child Abuse

If you suspect a child is being abused or in danger of being abused, you should contact local law enforcement or Services to Children and Families immediately.

Parents are the key

Parents are most successful in a supportive community. Through partnerships with Lane County's most successful and ground-breaking human service agencies, we have developed the following proven strategies.
