Opportunities for Families in Lane County

In 2011, United Way of Lane County received funding from the Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative to coordinate parenting education activities across the county. The Oregon Parenting Education Collaborative is a multi-year initiative led by The Ford Family Foundation, The Oregon Community Foundation and Oregon State University. Financial supporters include the Meyer Memorial Trust, the Collins Foundation and OCF Donor Advised Funds.

Parents have the knowledge, tools and support systems to nurture their child’s optimal development and school readiness.

LaneCountywill have a strong countywide system of parenting education programs, information and support for all families. Core values include:

Supports are based on parent-identified needs

Evaluation/measurement of outcomes are a requirement to participate
