United Way of Lane County strategically invests in programs that measurably help us reach the goal of having every child in Lane County enter school ready to learn.
2010-2012 Funded Partner Agencies:
Birth To Three – Offering parenting education classes in the Promise Neighborhoods, scholarships for classes across Lane County, and the Parent HelpLine.
Family Connections of Lane and Douglas Counties – Community Child Care Networks provide training and support for child care providers to improve the quality of child care for families in the Promise Neighborhoods.
Family Relief Nursery – Responsible for increased Latino Bilingual/Bicultural support and offering Incredible Years and Circle of Security parenting education classes in South Lane County.
Oregon Social Learning Center – Offering Kids In Transition to School (KITS), a research-based program that boosts early literacy and social/emotional development, in the Promise Neighborhoods.
Pearl Buck Center – Providing preschool services to foster optimal development for children whose parents have cognitive limitations.
