ANNUAL CAMPAIGN KICK-OFF BREAKFAST ON SEPT. 14, 2010
Join us as we kick off the 2010 Campaign at the Community Leaders Breakfast on September 14 (click here to register). Even in the midst of a recession we are optimistic that this community can care for those in need AND build a future where there are fewer in need. Why? Because it is the kind of people we have always been. And, because we have vision for a brighter future with goals and strategies to get us there. It will take all of us to deliver on the promise of our bold Goals for 2020 which are:
EDUCATION: Preparing children to succeed in school and life
By 2020 the majority of children enter kindergarten in Lane County will demonstrate basic literacy and social/emotional development so they can reach their greatest potential through education.
INCOME: Moving families from poverty to financial stability
By 2020 an increased percentage of low-wage households will increase their assets and financial literacy in order to be able to pay the bills in the event of a sudden loss of income.
HEALTH: Ensuring people have access to basic health care
By 2020 15,000 uninsured Lane County residents will be connected to a community-based system of timely, affordable health care.
